I don’t view things as challenges, but as opportunities
How did you get into music?
I’ve always had a passion for music since the age of 7. So, I didn’t get into music, music got into me
Are you currently signed or independent?
Independent
Who inspires you the most musically?
My iconic cousin, Prince for his individuality and hands-on creativity & Drake for his unique word referencing and melodic delivery
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
When I’m in the studio, so much creativity goes into the music from the way I sing it all the way down to the beat that I feel it would be unfair to box the listener into one particular feeling or emotion.
What is the purpose driving you to pursue music?
It’s a part of my first love and music is healing
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
The continued love from my fans and the multiple viral moments
Do you produce your own music? If not, who do you work with?
No, I co-produce and partake in the total creative process. I work with a plethora of producers from Kid Classic (K. Michelle, YG, Usher) and Damon Thomas from the Underdogs (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce’)
