David July is a Melodic Hip Hop act from Vancouver British Columbia, and after the release of his single ‘Want it All’ in May 2022 and the accompanying sold out show in Vancouver, he has begun to takeover the Canadian entertainment scene. His single Give It Up released October 19th and is his most ambitious and experimental track to date.
The song holds a double entendre of a painful life being in love, and a painful life chasing his dream as a musician. With a new look in his visuals, he brings sunglasses and cigarettes to the screen to accompany this soulful single. His soothing vocals, dynamic range, and unbelievable songwriting ability make him not just a force to be reckoned with in Canada, but a global superstar in the making. The song is produced by his frequent collaborator TylerB, and the visualizer is directed by Tristan Mailloux of Richalnd, Washington.
With appearances at Vancouver’s largest events as well as building a massive presence in Seattle, Toronto, and all over Canada, July is proving to be Canada’s next superstar. David is scheduled to appear at Vancouver Fashion Week, as well as a headline at the city’s largest hip-hop venue Fortune Sound Club. On top of these appearances David is scheduled to play Seattle for a third time and rumors have begun to circulate that he may be dropping an album and touring Canada in early 2023.
The Give It Up Release Show will take place October at Fortune Sound Club and will be announced in the coming weeks. July is a dynamic live performer with an incredible energy and stage presence.
