Burnout is real in any profession, including DJing, and not being able to do what you love doing effectively can be frustrating. Here are some tips to avoid burnout as provided by DJ Jimmy Entourage.
You need to take note of what you are feeling. When you have low motivation even though you would usually be in an enthusiastic mood, feeling drained, or even loss of appetite, then maybe it’s time you took a break. In fact, make regular breaks a part of your schedule. It is the only sustainable way to stay creative.
Also, you do not need to do everything on your own, go learn from your peers and even collaborate with them.
Lastly, when burnt out, do not take on new gigs.
