I’m splendid, just enjoying my life, taking it day by day, enjoying the journey.
Where are you from?
I’m from Brampton, Ontario Canada, which is a city right outside of Toronto.
What is your greatest inspiration for your music?
Motivational artists in the game such as Drake, The Weeknd, NAV are Canadian artists that are inspiring to me being from the same country, facing the same hardships and breaking barriers of being an artist from Canada. Artists like Gunna, Lil baby and Future are truly inspiring because of the melodies and flowable verses that characterize their sound. As well as new artists on the scene such as Polo G and Roddy rich which lay the foundation for the new style of rap and its ever-changing rhythm and melody.
What are 3 words that describe your music?
Melodious, suave, and flowy.
What are the challenges of being an artist?
Being an artist from Canada of Indian origin, the cards are already stacked against you. Breaking the stereotypes of what you’re supposed to do in life, and following a journey of pursuing your passion while people have already predetermined your path in life is definitely challenging. Especially not being so engrained in the culture, where there is only one other Indian artist in the game being NAV, he has set the foundation and stepping stone for other artists like myself that are the minority in the industry to be inspired and continue making music.
Are you planning on releasing new music soon?
Yes, I plan on releasing an EP but before that releasing a few more singles, to continue to build a fan base and connect more with the people that like my music, and continue growing in the music industry by releasing melodies and songs that people love!
