We got a chance to sit down with independent powerhouse Leebo and learn more about the rising young star.
- Where are you from?
The origins of my work is Based from Tri Cities WA, but I’m originally from Augusta, Georgia. - When did you start music?
I started making music about 3 to 4 years ago.. I’m thinking about summer of 2016. I started off as a producer. then slowly got into making music as an artist vocally and then I started to performing for fun which turned into another business venture - How did you get into music?
I originally got into music through school. I was in a concert band (played Clarinet & Tenor Sax) then after a year or two after high school I started making beats & experimenting with FL studio because of some music influences that I had at the time. - What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
I wouldn’t say there is a specific challenging moment in my life, but being consistent with how I have been throughout my journey as an artist and entrepreneur is definitely something that allows me to stand out. I also have produced, written, recorded, and engineered every song that is out of mine up-to-date. All of the shows & tours that you see me performing on. I am also behind the business and foundation as well. And with all the great things that come with what I’m doing has come a lot of hate and I’ve had to stop associating with a lot of people that I felt were friends and family to achieve certain milestones.. - Are you currently signed or independent?
I am independent 100%. (No previous management either) - Who inspires you most musically?
Kanye West is an artist and entrepreneur that inspires musically. He has been my favorite music artist for about 6+ years now.. I’ve probably watched every live performance, interview, and moment of his that is on YouTube. - What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
I want people to know that there is no boundaries when creating the sounds that you are experiencing in your head I want people to feel as if my music allows them to be confident and inspire them to do more that makes them happy - Any new music coming on the way?
There will definitely be some new music on the way. I don’t have an exact layout of when but there will be some exciting things coming out in 2022.
